LIGHTS UP FOR ANNIVERSARY
The Statue of Liberty usually wears green – but last night she stood tall in blue.

Lady Liberty was given a temporary color makeover to celebrate the forthcoming 120th anniversary of the landmark.

The effect was achieved by replacing the statue’s regular white floodlights with special tinted lamps that projected an image of Lady Liberty back onto the statue and highlighted its contours in blue.

The light show was part of a party hosted by French champagne maker Moet & Chandon, which is celebrating the 120th anniversary of its White Star champagne.

The statue, a gift from France, will officially celebrate its anniversary on Oct. 28.
